We utilize a variety of materials to support our clients and their therapeutic goals. We have included different types of media we use regularly in our personal and professional practices.

Painting

Painting is one of the most recognizable forms of art.  It is a very fluid media with exceptional therapeutic potential.  Below are some examples of therapeutic painting.
All images are property of Madison Art Therapy.

Mixed Media

Mixed media can take on endless forms.  We have included just a few examples below.

Doll Making

Doll making can be a very personal undertaking.  The process can be very grounding, meditative, and reflective.  Often these dolls represent aspects of ourselves whether it be what we are lacking, desiring, appreciating, or intending for ourselves.
